I had to bring the car back after a recall where the passenger seat needed to be removed. Unfortunately the seat was not tightened down properly and was moving with a passenger sitting in it. This should have been checked before returning the call to me to avoid a second visit to the dealership.

It had a complex problem with my 2021 Tiguan. I had been a the dealer several times, with each time, the problem tried to be corrected. Twice as I drove away from the dealership the engine and epc lights came on. The service consultant, Trevor was professional, clearly explained the next steps. Trevor in the Service Department is a professional - respectful, kind and a good communicator. Stephen from Sales, also a professional, answered all questions without a hint of mansplaining, and worked out issues that could have presented problems due to conflicts with scheduling. The woman in the payment office was also kind, focused and very professional.

This was by far the worst car leasing experience I have ever had. I called the dealership on a Saturday to see if they had any ID4 vehicles. I was told they did, given what seemed to be a reasonable quote, and put a deposit down to hold the vehicle. The individual I spoke to, Stephen, told me that they would start working on things and give me a call early in the week to set me up to come in. By Thursday I had not heard anything so I reached out. I was told oh I was planning to reach out to you tomorrow because your financial application didn't go through when do you want to come in. We made arrangements for me to come in that Saturday. When I arrived at the dealership Stephen immediately went out to get the car, told me to take a quick look at it, and then shuffled me into the finance office. I told him I wanted to sit and talk about the price of the car and other things, but he told me that was a discussion to have with finance. When I sat down I was immediately told that my payment would not be the number originally discussed over the phone. I had informed Stephen that I was dealing with an issue with my credit score, and he told me it would not be a problem at all which was definitely not the case. My previous lease was through Nissan, and I had been under a three month lease extension. After the first of those three months Nissan turned off my automatic payments and never notified me that my payments were not going through. I only realized when I went to check my credit score prior to getting this car and realized my score had dropped 138 points (from 817 to 679) because Nissan had filed a claim against it for nonpayment. I immediately called Nissan, made the payments in full, and filed a dispute with experian, but unfortunately all of that was not going to fix my score immediately. I was told that because of my lower credit score my payment was going to be $60 more a month. I explained this to the finance guy but he wouldn't even listen to me. I told him I could show him that my credit score had dropped 138 points because of this one issue, but he told me there was no way that was the case and it didn't matter if I showed him. He looked me straight in the face and asked me why do I even care its only another like $2,000. This was absolutely horrible. He could see from my application that I am a physician and how much I make, but that doesn't mean I just have endless funds to spend on things. I have a six figure amount of money in loans to pay off, but I think he just cared about how much more he could make from this deal. I asked if there was anything that could be done such as if the credit score was fixed could the payment be adjusted. He told me no I would have to reach out to Nissan and try to get the money back from them. I asked if there were any incentives available that could help bring the price down such as a loyalty discount as I have leased three VW's previously myself as have multiple members of my immediate family. That was brushed off real quick. I told him that I had never missed a lease payment in my 20 years of leasing cars, but he didn't care. He then became annoyed telling me that he had other customers waiting. I truly wanted to walk out of the dealership at this point, but my current lease had to be turned in that day so I didn't feel like I had any other choice but to get the car. In addition to the extra $60 per month for the credit score, I was also told that despite being informed that the quote I was given included all taxes and fees including all DMV fees, it actually did not. There would be an additional $750 that needed to be added in for the registration. I asked about reducing the yearly miles to 7500 instead of 10,000 which showed it would drop the payment $20 a month online, but was told that it would only drop it by about $12 not $20. The original quote I was given for the vehicle was $419 a month including all fees. (please see the rest of this in the next comment section)

Excellent service!

Service was prompt, friendly and spot on. What I did not appreciate was the fact that the online service appointment allowed me to select the recall for my car. Come to find out that the dealership didn't have the part for the recall as well that it couldn't be performed on a Saturday. The online appointment tools should have been designed to not allow for the selection of the recall.

Poor communication, repairs not done timely, no extra services performed, original issue not resolved

Our car was in the shop for over two months. Communication from the service department was nonexistent. Calls to the service department were answered with “he is away from his desk and will return your call. However, no return calls. No loaner car, I was forced to rent a car. Two months of no free EA charging and insurance payments. I even had to Uber to pickup my car, no courtesy pickup.

The service representative greeted me in friendly manner. Ushered me to the service department and immediately assessed the reason for my visit. He ensured I knew where to wait comfortably while my car was attended to; provided updates and my car was returned in sufficient time.

Everything went smoothly and my questions were anticipated and answered before I had a chance to ask them.

I came in with a new 2024 Tiguan lease that the left side driver door was sticking and sometimes not closing all the way. Also the lane assist/speed control system for works differently from the 2022 model. The service department adjusted the door. The issue with the driver assist the explained how to adjust it. the 2022 model would automatically shut off and reset itself when you turned the car off. The 2025 model has to be turned off manually before you turn the car off; so when you start the car it is not in an activated mode. I preferred the 2022 system better. I felt it safer.

It was my first service so free but I also got a lot of help connecting car play for my phone to get directions on the screen. They did it when I bought the car and it disconnected at some point. The rep from the service desk was very nice and set up the car play for me. I gave a 4 only because it is not allowing me to set a destination. Probably has more to do with a setting on my phone but we should have gone that extra step to make sure it worked.

Since you asked: I instructed to have the required recall completed only. The technician went ahead and checked other parts of the car which was NOT authorized from the beginning. The technician also lied and stated I need new windshield wipers, however they are newly installed VW blades that were just replaced. Dishonest.

I was displeased to be told that I needed to use my 30,000 mile service for my 20,000 mile service in my contract. I was told my Atlas was 500 miles past the 25,000 limit. I didn’t like the answer I got and the way it was said.

No appointment ease

Joe Heidt dealership took a $500 deposit and has yet to return it. I left 2 voicemails to finance dept with no return call. I left a online message on their website to finance and no call back. The sales side if my purchase was excellent .

Issue with tire rotation and balance coupon sent to my email. I was told the coupon pricing was incorrect and would not be able to be completed for that price.

Sales experience was fine on a quick lease purchase. Car wasn’t completely prepped and salesperson could have spent 10 or 15 minutes going over the car interior and options.

Every time I come in for an oil change you tell me $2000 worth of changes that need to be made with my car. Nothing is covered and it is all so overpriced.

I was in for car’s first service. It was fast and easy. Car was ready sooner than expected.

I arrive for a routine oil check and top off and an issue was discovered. A loaner was available, which was great, but our car was supposed to be ready by the morning of the following day. We were not notified if it was or was not ready so we kept the loaner as we had travel plans. We were notified Tuesday the following week that it was ready and we returned the loaner and picked up our vehicle on Wednesday only to drive for a day and have the engine light come back on overall our Volkswagen atlas has had a variety of issues and its brief 30,000 mile use

Leased a 2024 vehicle. Went to see car on a Saturday. It was in great condition. Went on Wednesday to finalize the paperwork and when the process was done they bring me to the car and there is a paint imperfection and a dent above the wheel. I waited 4 days for someone to get in contact with me like they said and no one reached out to rectify the issue. I was told before leaving that they are “very busy” and that someone would reach out to me. Seems like they are too busy for my business. I had to call to schedule an appointment, which the service dept. wasn’t notified of an issue. I beginning to think if I didn’t call that no one would have reached back out to me.

No one has called me about the part that was supposedly ordered for my car’s onboard telephone system. I was told, and I expected a call one week after my appointment and it has been a month . My 2020 Tiguan has a telephone system that does not allow me to call my family and friends.

Every time I go for my Volkswagen services, I tell them about all the issues with my car and when I pick up the car, all of the same issues are there. There are no loaner cars. I’ve sat for over 2 hours, my first service, to find they’d never even gotten my car on the lift. I actually had to leave and come back because I had an appointment. The regular service is completed, I believe… although they’re always trying to sell me windshield wipers for ridiculous amount of markup.(I’ve still never replaced and they’re still working fine). They tell me it’s fixed, but it’s never fixed. My car is a lemon. I can’t wait for my lease to be up, I’ve never been so unhappy with a car. The computer system is brutal. VW told me it was updated this last visit… it’s worse. Is what it is, I will not be buying a VW after this lease is up. I wanted to love it as a gateway to the VW bus…but unfortunately I’m done.

One of the most frustrating aspects of service is just waiting long hours and not being provided a loaner. Health issues compounds the problem since one can't sit for long periods. When we first decided on a VW, our salespserson said that it was relaitvely easy to get a loaner but that didn't turn out to be the case. We would gladly pay an extra $20-25/mo on our lease if we could be gauranteed a loaner each time we needed service. I think this would be a popular option/package for your customers if it was made available and think it would easily pay for itself (if not even being lucrative for your dealership). We decided on Joe Heidt specifically due to your dealership not charging over MSRP during C19. We really want to return as customers, but not if it's this difficult to get a loaner.

I understand sales and the need to upsell, but I don't appreciate it when terms are agreed upon and then subsequently altered/changed at signing. I fully expected this and was prepared to defend the agreed upon price. I was not disappointed. The finance manager attempted to alter the agreement. I was VERY disappointed in this.
